How is microdermabrasion performed? During the microdermabrasion procedure, a device or hand piece emits a stream of very fine crystals onto the surface of the skin. The abrasive action, combined with mild suction, removes the dead outer layers of skin while special cosmeceuticals help to protect and freshen the skin.
