Microdermabrasion FAQs

What is microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is a simple, gentle, non-surgical skin resurfacing treatment. At Associated Plastic Surgeons & Consultants, we utilize the Parisian Peel System of microdermabrasion. This system uses gentle abrasion to remove the dead, outer layer of skin, producing smoother, softer, refreshed-looking skin. The Parisian Peel can effectively treat sun damage, age spots, superficial pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, enlarged or oily pores, white heads, black heads and acne scars.

Who is the best candidate for microdermabrasion?
Candidates for microdermabrasion include men and women who are looking to improve the appearance of sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles, age spots, superficial pigmentation, black heads, white heads, enlarged or oily pores, and/or acne scars. All colors of skin can be treated.
