Having a slimmer, more toned body isn’t something that just happens overnight for most people. In fact, it usually takes months and months of hard work. With summer just a few short months away, you may already be sticking to a strict diet and exercise routine to get your bod bikini ready. If, however, it seems like you still have some stubborn fat that won’t come off with diet and exercise, then liposuction or liposculpture may be able to help you make it to the weight loss finish line.
What’s Liposuction?
Liposuction is the most traditional type of weight loss surgery and is great because it can be used on large areas of the body like the abdomen, buttocks, or upper thighs. During this surgery, one of our surgeons will start by making a small incision in the area, then scraping off excess fat, and suctioning it out with a device called a cannula. After the fat has been removed, we will then stitch you up and send you off to recovery.
What’s Liposculpture?
The biggest difference between liposuction and liposculpture is that liposculpture works to target smaller areas of the body like the neck, abdomen, or knees. Because we treat smaller parts of the body, we are able to make smaller incisions and use an even smaller cannula than with liposuction which makes recovery a little bit easier.
Each of these options can help give patients, like you, real results and get that much closer to having the perfect bikini body. If you want to learn a little bit more about each of these weight loss procedures, contact our Huntington office and call us at (631) 423-1000.
